Beauty has no skin tone

India is a heterogeneous country. It's diversity is very unique, being a large country with large population having varieties of physical features and culture pattern. So,we can't generalise the color of Indians  as there are various factors regarding this.

IN ANCIENT AND MEDIEVAL PERIOD, India was divided into 4 distinct races namely:-
  • (1)ARYANS  (2)DRAVIDS  (3)PERSIANS  (4)MANGOLIANS

Aryans moved to North India, Dravids very specific to South India they migrated to rest of the world, Persian from Himalayan regions moved to North West region and Mangolians from Mangol region moved to North East India.

All these 4 races have distinct features, skin color. Culturally these races differed a lot and this is one of the reason why Indiann races remained so distinct.

SKIN COLOR AND LATITUDE:-
There's a direct correlation between these two .Area that receive higher amount of ultraviolet radiation generally located closer to equator, tends to have darker skinned populations, area that are far away from the tropics & closer to poles have lower intensity of UVR,as a result reflected lighter skinned populations. As Tropic of Cancer passes through  8 Indian States it comprises of dark skinned populations also specially South India whic lies more closer to Equator.

An individual skin pigmentation can be also due to genetics.
Actual  skin color of different Humans is affected by many substances, most important is pigment Melanin.

MELANIN is produced within the skin in cells and it protects the body by absorbing solar radiation. More the Melanin in the skin, the more solar radiation can absorbed,it is generally found in large quantity in dark skinned people.

MORTON AND FRIEDRICH TIEDEMANN THEORY:-
Back in 1830-40's, American caraniologist SAMUEL MORTON collected &measured hundreds of human skulls in what he described as an attempt to xompare the brain size of 5 human racial groups. Morton assigned highest brain capacity to European, second was Chinese, third was South east asians &fourth was American Indians and smallest  brain assigned to Africans &Australian aborigines.
At nearly same time,German anatomist FRIEDRICH TIEDEMANN was conducting similar research & he was against the idea that different races were created separately &used to fight for eauality & abolition of slavery.
MODERN SCIENCE explode the myth that certain races have more gifted brains than others but still many of us  taking this belief as true. Our society still paying a high price for it.

If we think about different perspective than yes skin color affects brain on the basis of stress level that can be more in dark skinned humans as they have to fight a battle of color racism in their day to day life just to prove their ability, existence & to get equal rights & values in society.

Like many of dark skin people,I have also gone through this stuff. I am brown in color few people call me wheatish but still I am in scale of dark tone though my mother is wheatish & my father is fair, my siblings are also fair.
So,it's like me who is odd in my family. From my childhood days I used to get  tips from  people to get fair skin. In fact my family members used to say that my mom had eaten lot of almonds at the time of my birth that's why i got brown color,my mom used to say that my father father exposed me lot to solar radiation that's why i got tan. Different people have different theories. But thing is that I never wanted to change my color,i have seen many people who are craving to get fair skin but i am really happy with what i have.

In school i was 1-2 shade darker as i am now may be due to lot of sun exposure. There are few classmates of mine who criticise me directly or indirectly. I remember one incidence of mine, there's a guy who once joke about me that if I will be in movie hall than I can't be seen by others & literally I don't find  any sarcasm  in this, even a fair person can not be seen in dark or may be he is suffering from nightblindness....hahhaha😂🤣😂

For me fair skin doesn't define beauty, it can exist in any form whether it's nature, creature ,person or anything else. But yes this shitty ideology of people  led a insecurity in me.
I felt less confident, sometimes I really felt low , was not able to understand what's the sin I have done to be born as a brown girl, but now i feel sorry for those people who are carrying this disbelief.
According to this society dark skin girl have to work more hard just to prove her worth  otherwise there will be a problem for her to survive & she will hardly  get a good life partner as mostly Indian guy are fond of fair girl.

ADVERTISEMENT are also endorsing fairness creams which are impacting people's mind, don't know just for the sake of business what type of message they are conveying. Sad part is that education is also not able to change this orthodox. Even educated people are having this disbelief.

It's really sad to hear their beauty definition, sometimes i feel it's better for us to  be colorblind so that everyone can see the beauty of eachother.

Many of us believe that Indians are fond of western people that's why we adore fair skin,it can be true but there are some people who are fond of western color but criticised their culture, people take things according to their suitability.

In this chaos there are still few people who can see beauty irrespective of race. Someone truly said that "BEAUTY LIES IN THE EYES OF BEHOLDER"

Yes,it depends upon human mentality. I have came across through both kind of humans, there are people like my friends who always call me beautiful, used to motivates me , bring a positive change in me, because of these good humans I really feel good about myself,i feel confident.
So atleast for the sake of our peacefull & lovable life we should grab positive things whether in the form of person or beliefs.

One should love oneself because we all are the beautiful creatures of god despite color, cast, religion, class, we all bleed same,we all live and die, laugh &cry, no one is immortal.

Usually people symbolise black as dark & white as light.
In some asian culture white is actually denoted to the reaper myth the same way black is to Western culture. It varries culture to culture, In EGYPT & ISLAM black is a positive color.

The darkness isn't wrong. It's a part of life a backdrop for the stars at night, the space between what you know. Darkness has a way of reminding you of the light you have been given on all those other days.

" The dark & light ,they exist sids by side. Sometimes overlapping, one explaining the other. The darkened path is as illuminated as the lightened" - RAVEN DAVIES

We still have a long way to go to end colourism.
we need to become aware & embrace the differences. We should celebrate each one's uniqueness & promote a culture where diversity of thinking is valued, rather than censored.
Being blinded by skin color is social & artificial things, Modern science has debunked race sterotypes.

It's better to open your mind. Brain is a flexible muscle, don't let sterotypes  rigidify your thoughts..
